Sallie graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and History and a minor in Political Science. After graduation she moved to Pierre, SD and worked for the YMCA as a program director for the Aquatics Department.
Sallie left the YMCA for a job with the South Dakota Department of Transportation in 2013. Working under the Secretary of Transportation in the Office of Air, Rail and Transit she performed grant compliance and management for rural public transit providers. It was her attention to detail managing federal transportation grants that led to her calling as an investment professional with Collins Wealth Management.
Sallie passed the Series 6 and 63 and started working for Collins Wealth Management on July 1, 2018. She also passed the state insurance exam and is licensed to sell life and health insurance. In 2020, in order to expand her business, she passed the Series 7 and 66. For the passed two years she has enjoyed meeting new people and connecting on a personal level with all her clients.
Sallie resides in Pierre, South Dakota with her husband Ben and English Cocker Spaniel Winston. She is involved with her church, Faith Lutheran, a member of the Isaac Walton League, and a member of the local chapter of Delta Waterfowl. Her hobbies include competing in the South Dakota Point Series Triathlon circuit, shooting on a competitive trap team, shooting rifle/bow, hunting, fishing, processing wild game meat and gardening.
